The Liberia Chamber of Commerce has called for stronger and sustained engagement between Government and the private sector as Liberia advances the ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development.

At the ARREST Agenda National Steering Committee meeting, the Chamber’s Secretary General, Catherine H. Karmo, delivered remarks on behalf of the Chamber’s President, O. Natty B. Davis II.

In the remarks, the Secretary General emphasized the vital role of the private sector in national development and called for the first formal Public-Private Sector Dialogue under the chairmanship of H.E. Joseph Nyumah Boakai, President of the Republic of Liberia.

Madam Karmo also highlighted the importance of local content and strengthening the ability of Liberian businesses to participate in supply chains, access markets, secure opportunities, and contribute to employment and economic growth.
