In July 2025, the President of the Liberia Chamber of Commerce (LCC), Mr. O. Natty B. Davis, II, completed a high-level working visit to Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China, at the invitation of Qianhai Tomorrow Supply Chain Co., Ltd. The visit culminated in the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two parties.
The MOU establishes a framework to promote economic cooperation and expand commercial exchanges between Liberia and the Shenzhen municipality, Guangdong Province, and the Hong Kong and Macau Special Administrative Regions (SARs). It outlines plans for mutual trade support, information sharing, business matchmaking, participation in trade exhibitions, and the development of Free Trade Areas. During the visit, Mr. Davis conducted an on-site inspection of the company’s facilities and finalized key details for the Liberia Chamber of Commerce’s China Representative Office, which will serve as a hub for managing bilateral trade initiatives, attracting investment into Liberia, and promoting competitive Liberian exports such as minerals and agricultural products.
The visit and the partnership mark a significant step forward in positioning Liberian businesses for greater global reach and deeper trade collaboration with China’s largest markets.
