LRA Commissioner General Visits Liberia Chamber of Commerce 

The Liberia Chamber of Commerce (LCC) had the honor of welcoming the Commissioner General of the Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA), CG James Dorbor Jallah, during a courtesy visit. This visit, which took place at the LCC headquarters, marked a significant moment in fostering stronger ties between the two institutions. 

Upon his arrival, Commissioner General Hon. Jallah was introduced to the esteemed members of the Executive Council, specifically the Economic and Governance Committee, and Secretariat of the Liberia Chamber of Commerce. During the meeting, he expressed his gratitude for the LCC’s warm reception, emphasizing that the invitation from the Chamber was a positive step towards enhancing the partnership between the LRA and the LCC. He appreciated the President and members of the Executive Council for accommodating his impromptu visit, which he believes is the first step for reactivating collaboration between both institutions.

 The Executive Council Members of the LCC reciprocated the sentiments, acknowledging the longstanding relationship between the LRA and the Chamber. They highlighted the importance of this relationship, particularly in areas such as business dialogues, joint events, and the dissemination of vital information to the business community.

During the discussions, the Chamber’s Executive Council Members shared insights gathered from recent consultative meetings and engagements with the business community, underscoring the importance of feedback from these interactions to be shared with the LRA. They also discussed the forthcoming consultative report from the dialogues and engagements with the business community, which is set to provide key recommendations, aimed at guiding policymakers and government actions.

This visit by the LRA Commissioner General is seen as a pivotal moment in reinforcing the collaborative efforts between the Liberia Revenue Authority and the Liberia Chamber of Commerce, with a shared commitment to advancing the nation's economic and business environment.
