On September 6,2024, the Liberia Chamber of Commerce launched its "Women in Business Empowernment Network" (WIBEN) at an inugural meeting at the Chamber. The meeting was declared formally open by Ms. Amanda Hill of the Executive Council.

Multiple personalities graced the occassion and were excited to meet with other women CEOs and trailblazers in the industry. Former Agriculture Minister, Madam Janine Cooper offered pieces of advice and encouragment. The Secretary General, Mrs. Catherine H. Karmo made a presentation on the Chamber's strategic position on "Women and Youth in Trade" and introduced the idea of the network. The network offers a safe space where women can brainstorm and find solutions to issues that matter to them, share knowledge and experiences, and at the same time access opportunities to trainings and funding. Mega thanks to all of the beautiful women who turned out today.
